Educational Leadership Preparation Learning Community
Samples of MOAs
Education has permeated the walls of our educational institutions and moved into the community beyond almost unnoticed. No longer does the faculty of Education Leadership Preparation Programs conduct their work in a silo. The collaboration that exists is growing almost daily between and among university faculty, chairs and deans with superintendents, central office staff, school leaders and aspiring leaders.
A way to cement these relationships is through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) also called Letter of Agreement (LOA). The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) is currently assisting higher education institutions to collaborate more fully with the districts they serve. Dr. Kathy O’Neill of SREB will work with the providers from now until the end of June, 2009 to assist in creating these agreements by meeting with university/district teams on their campuses.
The following links are examples of five (5) MOAs. Please notice that these agreements may include various components, lengths and details, each fitted to the needs of the team that is partnering.
Memorandum of Agreement: Providence School Department and University of Rhode Island
Memorandum of Agreement: University-District Partnership Agreement
Preliminary Memoranda of Agreement: Principal Selection Process
Principal Preparation Terms of Agreement: District – University Partnerships
